Just Like Christmas Eve

So even though most of us are tired out from a full day of travel before the trip even begins, I just can't seem to fall asleep. Everyone reading this should know the feeling of restlessness before a big event. The most obvious of these is Christmas, followed closely by perhaps a birthday or wedding. Well I have that, so I'll fill you guys in on what's going on so far.
Keegan and I left Fayetteville this morning after a hard night of packing up my parents stuff to move them to Alabama. Dad was heading back that way so he decided to drop us off in Asheville. Stephen was "on the way" so we picked him up to. After passing out multiple times on the drive (it's hard to stay awake when you're driving without air conditioning), we finally made it to Asheville and met up with Dan and Josh at Sam's club (after two failed attempts to get into the entrance, I might add). We ended up getting way too much food for way under what we had budgeted, so as of now, this trip is off to a good start. I expect we all shall weigh significantly more upon our return. ;)
Dan's parents invited us all over for dinner, which was fantastic! Mr. Snyder can cook some mean chicken. We ate chicken fajita's out on the deck in the rain. We were covered of course, so it was more pleasant than bothersome. After managing to fit all of the stuff we had brought, with just enough room for some human occupants, we parted ways. Keegan and Dan are staying over at Dan's place right now, because they're up for first driving shift tomorrow and need to get to bed earlier. Us other three headed back to Josh's.
That's Dan's place over to the right. The quick snapshot doesn't do it justice. It's way at the top of a mountain and it's really peaceful.

So yeah, that's about all I have to report on right now. Expect more updates tomorrow as we'll be on our first and longest leg of the trip at a whopping 33 hours of driving. Keep us in your prayers, for safe travels and tolerance in close quarters. ;)

P.S.
The GPS tracker at the bottom of the page will be live tomorrow when we leave. It'll track where we are and where we've been. Also, for the Mothers in the audience, there's a speed and heading as well, so you can trust us, but you don't have to. :)

"The Lord will keep you from all harm--
He will watch over your whole life;
The Lord will watch over your coming and going
Both now and forever more."
-Psalm 121:7-8
